Those customers/patients part 2

Last time I talked about those people who made me roll my eyes "urgh",
This time let's talk about those who are very sweet πŸ’—

There is this aunty with a past stroke and 2-day minor stroke when she came over. She is one funny woman, she talked a lot until she is tired (it is quite the effort for a stroke patient to talk).
She found out that I love the pork noodle selling next door, but always unable to have the chance to eat one due to morning rush hour customer flow, some more the noodles sold off fast.
When she starts to move better, and able to re-visit me more frequent because she doesn't need to depend to her children to fetch her, she would come earlier to have breakfast next door
So whenever I arrived at the shop, she would wait for me to settle down and walk over to ask me if I wanna eat the pork noodle as she can help me order it before it sold out.
She is very excited every time when both of us made it before the pork noodle sold out.
Time passes by until she has recovered, looking like a normal healthy person, she would still time to time come over to just see me and have a small chat.
She hasn't been showing up for a few months now, I pray for her well-being and always be that kind chatty aunty 😊

I love these kind of people, they make me feeling great, both as a TCM Practitioner and a person.
And of course I hope meeting more these kind of patients or customers, they are less handful

Those customers/patients

So I'm working in a herbs store as both a cashier and Chinese Medicine Practitioner, I've happened to meet a handful of unusual people.

There is this middle-aged lady who is weak on knees and unable to walk after a fall, all the scans say no fractures or dislocations. Normally, we would suspect lumbar misalignment causing a pressure on nerves that blocking the signals for muscles. And therefore we would need the patient to lay face down for us to assess the signs and symptoms, but this lady doesn't want to lay face down, saying she is uncomfortable doing that. She refused medications as she is on dialysis, all she wants is just an acupuncture on her leg so she can walk again. I told her it is almost not possible to recover just by doing what she requested, as it is not treating the main source of problem. She seemed unhappy, and after awhile asked again if she could recover and walk again 😞
Good luck for her

----------------------------------------------------

One day, an old lady walked in to ask for treatment for her uncontrolled high blood pressure. Her blood pressure is at 143/90 mmHg, which is consider just minor high for a 70 years old. Her doctor prescription a stronger medication for her but it made her headache without getting her pressure back down. I prescribed a Chinese Medicine prescription for her, and do an acupuncture on her. She felt immediate relieve from uncomfortable around her shoulder, neck and head. She seemed delighted and went back home. The next day, she came over claiming after taking the herbs, she felt bloated and refused for finish the prescription. She requested for herbs tablets instead (tablets are less effective medication compared to concoction as it is not customize-able per individual), I tried to persuade her to get back to concoction with little bit of amendment, she refused. So I remind her of pro and con of tablets, and out of no where she asked why hasn't her blood pressure gone down after one prescription drank. Seriously, I almost lost my temper, all my explanation weren't gone into her head!! Hello! Aunty, you took stronger pills and unable to control the pressure and now you expect to back to normal with just ONE prescription concoction you took! You think Chinese Medicine is magic ar?????

Long time no see

Hi there, it's been a long years not having updates. Lots of things happened. I went to China for a year for housement. I will be sharing things I've been through at China time to time, slowly.

Why did I got back into blogging? Well, I've been having a lot of thoughts running in my brain, and a lot issues or events happening in my life working as a Chinese Medicine Practitioner in a small Chinese Medicine Shop. Facebook doesn't seem suitable for long stuff, and it's become too easy and too fast for everyone to know what happen. Maybe I've starting to prefer things go slowly, enjoy the good old blogging where everyone will actually take time reading, I mean when someone look for a blog it does mean he/she already prepared to read for long articles right? So, here I am, back into blogging.

So, yeah, blogging is too old school now, maybe there won't be anyone coming back reading anymore since I've been too slow to even not updating, but well someday there will be someone coming back. And I can think of those few very close to me might most probably be the ones. πŸ’“

Just a head up, this blog will kind of be my diary, so since I'm more than bilingual,  there will be a few languages showing up here and there, though mainly will be English and Chinese. Since it's like a diary, there will be daily funny patients cases, issues or problem I'm having, or even my personal venting probably. I'll try my best avoid things to be too dark.

Thanks for all who is and will come back reading 😁
